BicMedia

Director of Photography / Creative Strategist

As the first director of photography and creative strategist at BicMedia, I developed smart, compelling and award- winning content that went beyond client KPIs.

  • Acting director of photography for notable clients, including Hallmark, Discovery Channel, Missouri Lottery, and Mazuma, among others.

  • Oversaw development and pitching of original creative to new business opportunities.

  • Led planning and execution of Discovery Channel’s Shark Week TV spot, garnering nearly 700 million TV impressions with an attention score of 94.26, and an attention index of 123 – 23% fewer interruptions than average. Content was then featured on Walmart’s social channels.

  • Created proprietary virtual-reality rig for use in Kenya to shoot first-of-its-kind VR content for Hallmark. Resulted in positive press coverage on Fast Company, Good Morning America and Hallmark Channel.

  • Oversaw scope of more than $300K in photography equipment and acted as in-house expert on the constantly evolving video production space, advising both clients and the agency.

  • Consistently found ways to “scrappily” create content for clients with lower budgets, allowing them the content they can afford without sacrificing quality.

    • Drastically reduced the need for contractors by bringing most production in-house.

39 North

Art Director

At 39 North, I acted as an art director for clients like YETI, ZEISS, and E3 Meat Company. I concepted social media content for accounts with 1M+ followers, then executed high-performing video and photo assets.

  • Served as client-facing producer and social media partner for a variety of brands, encompassing social strategy, community management and content creation.

  • Led new business opportunities for both new and existing clients.

Centerline

Director of Photography

Ever create a snowy set in the middle of a North Carolina summer? I have. As Centerline Digital’s in-house director of photography and production specialist, I worked with big-name clients like Lowe’s, IBM and Citrix to create valuable content still in heavy rotation years later.

  • Conceived and executed new, innovative content formats as a go-to leader on set – often acting as producer, director, gaffer and even audio technician.

  • Developed processes for management of production assets, in addition to daily management of agency-wide production schedule.

  • Decreased overhead and increased content consistency by allowing the agency to keep most production in- house.

News 14

Photographer / Field Technician

You know the journalists who jump into the path of storms or hectic courtrooms to get the story? That was me. With strict deadlines and high-stress situations, my breaking news experience makes today’s tough clients feel like a breeze.

  • Shot and edited news video using both linear and nonlinear editing systems.

  • Covered live news, press conferences, sporting events and breaking stories.

  • Worked as a one-man band, performing all interviews and gathering information to tell the story.
